THE GOD WE WORSHIP
   
At Reibers Reformed Baptist Church, we seek to worship the one true God, the supreme Being, eternally existing in three Persons, who has created all things and who reveals Himself to us in the Holy Bible.

The God of the Bible is sovereign over all His creation.  To say that God is  “sovereign” is to say that God possesses all power in heaven and earth, and no one can defeat His counsel, thwart His purpose, or resist His will (see Psalm 115:3, Isa.43:10-13 ).

  
Our God always exercises His sovereignty as He administers the affairs and events of the world, directing the course of history down to the smallest detail (Proverbs 21:1-8, Matt. 10:29-30).

Most importantly, the Lord Almighty is also sovereign in salvation.  It is He who determines whom to save and when (John 6:37-44, Rom. 9:14-18,

Eph. 1:4-6, 2:8-10, Phil. 1:6).  The glory of this salvation is clearly seen in the Person and work of Jesus Christ.

These truths excite in our hearts a profound sense of holy fear and joy for such a great God!  Because our Lord is  so glorious, we look forward to meeting with Him in corporate worship every Sunday.  We invite you to join us as we seek to glorify God, serve the local body of believers and reach out to the community and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
